Little Gardens of Tarrytown

The Little Gardens of Tarrytown is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit garden club located in the village of Tarrytown, New York. The club is dedicated to environmental stewardship, civic beautification, and community service, with a strong focus on maintaining and enhancing public green spaces such as Patriots Park and Neperan Park.

Community service initiatives include creating wreaths for veterans’ memorials and public buildings, donating poinsettias to local hospice and nursing care centers, decorating a holiday tree at Phelps Hospital, and leading the village’s Earth Day celebration at Neperan Park. The club also organizes annual plantings at Patriots Park in collaboration with local Girl Scout troops, timed to honor Memorial Day services.

Currently comprised of approximately 25 members, the club welcomes individuals with an interest in gardening, conservation, and community involvement.

Notable Activities: Devoted to environmental stewardship in Tarrytown for almost a century. The club maintains pollinator and memorial gardens in Patriots Park and Neperan Park, hosts annual wreath-making for veterans’ sites, and leads Earth Day planting events with local youth. In recent years Little Gardens partnered with the village to install pollinator-friendly plantings (butterfly gardens, rain gardens, etc.) in celebration of its 95th and 98th anniversaries. The club looks forward to its 100th anniversary in 2024, continuing its tradition of “beautifying and nurturing Tarrytown”.
