Chappaqua Garden Club

The Chappaqua Garden Club is a nonprofit organization committed to conserving and celebrating local gardens and green spaces. With nearly 100 members from across Westchester County, they are proud to be part of District IX within the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State.

Their mission centers on beautifying public spaces, promoting environmental education for all ages, and practicing organic and sustainable gardening methods. From hands-on planting projects to educational outreach, they’re passionate about making a positive impact in the community.

Some of the ongoing initiatives include creating fresh weekly floral arrangements for the Chappaqua Library, supporting library programming, and engaging seniors through collaborative gardening activities at the New Castle Community Center.

With six vibrant interest groups, members can explore everything from floral design to horticulture and community outreach. Whether you’re looking to make new friends, develop your gardening skills, or get involved in meaningful service projects, there’s a place for you in the Chappaqua Garden Club.

Notable Activities: One of the largest clubs in the district, with 100+ members from across Westchester. It holds major horticultural events such as flower shows (e.g. the Spring 2025 “Spring Awakening” show at the local historical society). The club also runs public workshops, plant sales, and community planting projects promoting native species and pollinator gardens.
