Morsemere Garden Club

The Morsemere Garden Club, based in Yonkers, New York, is a local chapter of the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State, Inc. and National Garden Clubs, Inc. With a long-standing commitment to community service and horticultural excellence, the club is widely recognized for its seasonal contributions to the region’s natural beauty and educational outreach.

One of the club’s most celebrated achievements is the maintenance of the four-season garden at the entrance of the Hudson River Museum—a vibrant, pollinator-friendly landscape that highlights the importance of biodiversity and environmental stewardship.

The Morsemere Garden Club is also known for hosting flower shows that showcase members’ creativity and promote the principles of horticulture and floral design. These events not only offer a platform for artistic expression but also serve to educate the public on plant varieties, sustainable gardening practices, and design trends.

Notable Activities: In May 2019, Morsemere Garden Club celebrated its 90th anniversary with a public Standard Flower Show at Philipse Manor Hall in Yonkers.
