Garden Therapy

Healing Through Horticulture

Garden Therapy has long been one of the most meaningful and beloved initiatives of the 9th District Garden Club. Rooted in the idea that nature nurtures, this program uses garden-centered activities to support recovery, wellness, and emotional enrichment for individuals of all ages and abilities.

What Is Garden Therapy?
As part of the National Garden Clubs’ legacy of service, Garden Therapy engages participants in creative, nature-based activities—such as flower arranging, container gardening, and seasonal crafts—designed to promote joy, healing, and connection.

Garden Therapy for Every Generation

The 9th District is proud to celebrate the clubs who lead these efforts. Throughout the year, we’ll highlight exceptional stories and photos from Garden Therapy programs across our member clubs—showcasing the real impact of this work.
